Get ready to host your eclipse party!!!

Last year around the time that New Moon from the Twilight Saga was about to come out to theatres.....I had finally decided to read the Twilight books. I had seen Twilight literally 100 times, but just couldn't bring myself to read the books....I hate to read! Much to my surprise I LOVED them and read all 4 books in about 2 weeks....not bad for a gal who hates to read! Anyways....once I did that I got really into making Twilight items, and that is what I sell in my Etsy shop! The time is coming for Eclipse to come to theatres, so I thought I'd update the shop with some Eclipse goodies! Here are the new items in my shop! They are available for purchase here!
Team Edward except for when Jacob has his shirt off vinyl decal...
Set of 12 eclipse vinyl decals...
Set of 5 twilight goody bags...
Set of 12 eclipse themed pinback buttons...
Set of 12 eclipse cupcake toppers...

Book Page Topiaries and Seasonal Blocks

The other day I decided I wanted to make a new decoration for my shelves in my dining room, so I came up with this!
Topiaries! I've been seeing lots of cute things made out of book pages and numbers, so I decided to use that idea for these! These were so simple! Here's what you need:
-3 clay pots...I paint .79 cents each at Michael's
-3 wooden dowels...I already had these
-3 styrofoam balls...you can get these at the dollar store as well...they were out when I needed them so I got mine at Michael's...you get 6 for about $4
-Moss...I bought a huge bag at the $ store
-Circle punch...I used 1.25 inch and 1 inch
-Sewing Pins...I had these
-Paint
-Vinyl
-Foam Blocks...the kind used for floral design....I got a pack of 5 at the $ store
-Old Book, or scrapbook paper

What you do:
Paint your dowels, and pots....my pots needed a few coats! In the mean time punch out lots of circles. I used 2 different sizes and stacked them on top of each other. Using the pins, place your circles on the styrofoam balls. Once your balls are filled and your dowels are dry, place the dowel through the ball. Place the foam blocks at the bottom of the pots and cover with moss. Stick your dowel in the foam block and you are done!

Also on that shelf is my seasonal blocks...I changed it up a bit!

Engagements

I just realized that I never got around to posting these!!! I took these many many months ago! These are some engagements that I did for my bestie! Thought I'd share them! These were taken at Red Rock!

Kids Room Revealed

When I first found out I was pregnant with my son Landon, I decided to go neutral when it came to bedding, because we knew that most likely our kids would be sharing a room. I originally went with black and cream french toile, then I accented with blue. My original plan was: add pink when I find out I'm having a little girl...so originally thats what I did! I went to DI, and I also found old frames lying around the house....I just painted some pink and blue picture frames. I liked it at first...but then I thought it was kind of girly considering Landon. So....I changed it....again...I was inspired by some vintage flash cards that I bought at Thanksgiving point a few years ago.

I was also inspired by the vintage toys that target now carries....that's what's on the shelves in the pic above...Paul and I made those shelves by the way....only $8 each!

We decided to go with a bunk bed for Landon's bed...he of course is on the bottom...I lucked out and was able to get the same bedding that we bought for the crib when Landon was a baby.

I bought these vintage flash cards off of etsy and hung them with jute and clothespins....I took apart the clothespins and painted them....Love it!

This is above the closet
We needed a little extra storage, so I bought these metal paint buckets at Lowe's...they work great and have that vintage look I was going for!
